HTMA Sample Report Image.png
What is a Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA)?

The HTMA is a functional test used to provide a unique cellular reading of the mineral and heavy metal levels in your body. By analyzing small samples of recent hair growth, you can get a snapshot of what your body has been exposed to and what is eliminating through the hair. This data is valuable for prioritizing which diet and lifestyle strategies will be most effective for addressing your bioindivideal needs.

What can cause a mineral imbalance?

Many of our everyday choices can contribute to mineral imbalances, such as stress, our food choices and low levels of minerals found in soil depletion, toxins in the environment, lack of sleep, our water supply, certain medications and supplements, viral and bacterial infections, and so much more! These imbalances can be at the root of our feeling "unwell" and "lacking energy"!

Information it Provides:

Metabolic Type:

this rates how quickly your body is metabolizing energy and what macro ratios are ideal for you.

Mineral Status:

this shows an overall snapshot of the major minerals in your body and whether any are very high or low.

Heavy Metal Excretion:

this can indicate if you are being exposed to any specific heavy metals and whether your body is excreting (or storing) them.

Mineral Ratios:

all minerals affect each other to some degree, so these ratios highlight which systems need the most nutritional therapy support.

About Stephanie

Nutritional Therapy Practitioner & Owner of Empowered Wellness with Stephanie

In 2018, my life took a sudden turn after relocating across states with my husband, Jason, and our two children, Stephen and Kayla. Despite starting my dream job as a Molecular Biological Scientist at a Medical Center, I soon began feeling physically and emotionally drained. Migraines, which were rare for me, became a regular occurrence. Juggling work deadlines and family responsibilities, I often sacrificed nutrition and rest. Quick, nutrient-poor meals left me craving carbs and struggling with chronic pain, depression, and anxiety. A pivotal moment came when, overwhelmed at my lab station, I realized I could no longer function. Debilitating pain further forced me to leave my career and question my health at just 40 years old. It was a frightening time, yet it sparked a transformation. Working with a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, I discovered healing through improved nutrition and personalized care, including transformative HTMA (Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis) testing. Realizing the power of reclaiming my health, I now aspire to help other women achieve their own wellness goals.
